How you all doing?

I have a ton of blog posts lined up but I thought I would let you know what I had been up to.

First things first, I contacted a guy called Robert Evans who has a Very successful blog and coaching course.

Robert makes over £7000 a month thats pounds not dollars using many methods CLICK HERE and go check him out.

I was very interested in what he was doing, because he is using different methods that I want to learn and apply to my business.

Now I got FREE access to Robert’s course in return for writing this blog post. Its because Rob saw that I had a successful blog, he could see the potential that I have to reach out to people that may be interested in his coaching course.

I have been getting many things for FREE and I will write a blog post on this real soon.

Now what have I been up to?

Well I have been busy growing my list, my new goals are to acheive a total of 2000 subs in my list by Christmas so watch this space.

Also I have been writing my first ebook called “newbies journal”
It is going to be my complete online story, feel my pain as I reveal my story to making it online.

So watch out for that…if it is successful I would like to write a trilogy so it will be my story from newbie to being a success online.

I am also promoting my friend and Mentor Dean Holland’s brand new continuity program, so far I am on track to earn just over $300 every month.

Well things are happening people, its been a long time and a lot of hard work.

Like I always say just keep pushing forward keep that momentum up.

Hey people how are ya all?

This is gonna probably be my longest most revealling post yet, I just wanna share with you guys how far I have come in my business and what I did to get there.

Also I want to share with you how difficult I have found it to build my business, and I want you to get some motivation from this post.

For some of you my success may not seem that great, and to others you may think my results are fantastic, but like I say I hope I can give you a bit of motivation.

So read on and I will tell you exactly what I have done to build my business so far.

First let me tell you it has not been easy for me, I work 51 hours a week as a postman, and I have to get up in the middle of the night which leaves me feeling tired all the time.

Then my misses has managed to find some part time work to keep our heads bobbing above the water, and I have had to do my fair share of looking after my children including a baby boy.

If you factor in jobs around the house, cooking dinner, washing up, entertaining the children, trying to keep the baby occupied you can imagine at times I have little time left for my business.

My office is also in the corner of my living room, and I get distracted all the time as you can imagine with all the children running around.

I am also living on a razors edge, nearly bounching over the edge trying to manage all our debts and keep our heads above water I just have to make this work.

Ha I am trying not to sound like I am moaning in this post, the purpose here is just for anyone reading this to see the small success I am getting, and to see its sometimes not all that easy to get there without taking the right action.

But if you keep pushing forward, keep the momentum up, keep setting small goals reaching them, then resetting and moving on you gonna see results.

I also had a problem with stepping out of my comfort zone, I know a few of you have confidence issues to. But man I have been to a Seminar, I talk to people all over the world, I have had people interview me and I have made videos.

I never thought I would be doing that stuff, if I can do it so can you, and if you have these issues please feel free to grab me on skype, and if I can help you out in any way that would be fantastic.

You know I would not be where I am now if I had not stepped out of my comfort zone, I wanted this bad so I started to build relationships with people right from the start. Now I have made some good friends online and some great future JV partners.

You see I have not got that much technical skill although I am learning, but I found I was good at attaching myself to people and people liked me because I was being me.

Also I was not afraid to ask questions, or if I was really stuck on something I would either get someone to talk me through the problem or even do it for me. My top tip to you is, if you do not know how to do something then just go and ask the person who does.

Right with that all said lets get into what I wanted to reveal to you all.

460 people in my list by taking part in jv giveaways and adswaps.

$630 in affiliate sales plus promotions to my list.

According to Google Analytics since the end of May I have had 4621 visits to my blog and 10,912 page views.

I have received 460 comments to my blog.

I have a Twitter following of 6000 spread over three accounts, I use one for building relationships and another to tweet about giveaway events and new blog posts.

I have done a couple of interviews.

I have been to a seminar, and met real life marketers in the flesh.

My videos are improving check out my testimonial for Dean Holland below, you only have to search through my blog for my first video online. I am not gonna post it again its to cringy but its good to see how I have improved.

I continue trying to build value I still have not chased money, only with a couple of promotions to my list.

My web presence seems to be increasing and I seem to be getting noticed.

So people its all cool to see it growing, I cannot give up now the only way is forward.

My Motivation

All I have to do for motivation is look at my children and my wife, after all I do this because I want a better life for them.
Of course money is not the be all and end all but it sure helps, but the biggest reward from succeeding in this would be for me to be able to spend more time with them.

So im doing this for my family.

My Plans

To keep doing what im doing, building my online presense and relationships with people and continue to find ways of driving traffic to my blog.

Focus on building my list I am hoping to get to a 1000 by christmas.

I need to get my ebook written its called “The Newbies Journal”

I have an idea for a mini product hope to get that created in the long term, I have more testing to do in that area.

I have to write at least an article a day for a couple of clickbank products I am promoting.

I will be following John Thornhills profit from PLR program, hope to get that going soon and get my own rewritten plr product up on clickbank each month.

Constantly try and keep my computer clutter free, I have programs and files everywhere.

Well that is plenty to be getting on with, it wont all go to plan because it never does with me. My daily plans, my goals everything is always shifting with me to work around my family.

I would also like to thank my good friends and everything they have done for me.

Hey people how are we all?

Well what a weekend, finally I got to meet with my very good friend Dean Holland and he even came and picked me up along with Dan Briffa.

Then onwards to finally meet up with Alex Jeffreys, plus I got to meet Gary Parkes very nice bloke, and fellow students Sean Beardmore and Paul Wilson.

So where were we headed? off to London to Mark Anastasia’s speed cash seminar, where we bumped into Mo latif and Alex Goad and had a drink with Matt Garrett.

We did not see to much of the Seminar as you might be able to tell from the picture below. maybe we were a little hungover from the mammoth session the night before, where we joined Alex in his hotel room untill seven in the morning still drinking.

Also I was checking out my Alexa ranking and Alexa is ranking me as the 263,811 most important site in the world, and the 30,178 most important site in the uk pretty dam cool I say guys.

I think it was Gary Simpson that said if your site is ranked in the top 250,000 sites you are a major player, hey I am moving in the right direction.

I am not doing this to brag or anything, its just nice to see progress being made. I have not made much cash yet but seeing the proof that my business is growing in other areas is great.

Well Guys

Its been a while my friends have you missed me?? course you have!!

I have been away on holiday and was preparing to do a new post about my new video,and after that a cool post on the twitter tools I have been using.

BUT that can wait!!!! Because the Master of Masters mr Gary simpson has called us out to reveal 25 things about ourselves.

This as Gary says is a great idea to create renewed interest in our blogs, more visits and we get to have a laugh.

So here goes…..

1- Marcus is 5ft 10 medium build and has green/blue eyes.

2- Marcus is 36 years old but likes to think he is 25, apparantly the
way I behave tends to echo this.

3- Marcus loves Fosters.

4- Marcus is always to be seen standing at the back of the pack
when someone shouts out whose round is it.

5- Marcus could of been the hero in his local football teams
smiths junior cup, but having got round the keeper fluffed his
shot only to see the ball strike the opposing teams defender
to go out for a corner.
To make things worse the local paper reported that I had
missed an open goal it was not like that honest.. we won
anyway.

6- Marcus when in the cinema does tend to talk throughout the
film asking many questions about what is going on.
Wonders why no one wants to go to the cinema with him.

7- Marcus has appeared as an extra in a film called the Other
Boleyn Girl, starring Eric Banner, Natalie Portman and Scarlett
Johansson. Dont tell anyone but I had to wear tights and a cod
piece.

8- Marcus is known to have a very dirty mouth.

9- Marcus just recently gave up smoking, lets keep it that way.

10- Marcus has been known at his local swimming pool to look out
for ladies wearing white swimming costumes, then armed with
his snorkal and goggles be seen to be swimming underneath
them as they perform the breast stroke. “APPARANTLY”

11- Marcus has been seen groping his mates bottoms.
Thats me in the number 11 shirt “APPARANTLY”

12- Marcus hates heights so his gonna do the three peaks
challenge one day.

13- Marcus loves his family and will do anything to make them
happy.

14- Marcus once used immac to trim up his pubic area for reasons
undisclosed.
Tried to apply it to a small area but to much immac was
applied and in a blind panic tried to wipe it off.
Result no pubic hair left and a feeling like my genitalia was on
fire.
treatment sitting in a cold bath for about an hour.
End result no pubic hair and a red raw sack and crack..I only
wanted a trim.

15- Marcus tends to talk a lot of crap especially early in the
morning.

16- Marcus through all his faults is a very popular bloke.

17- Marcus never gets a joke.

18- Marcus loves back to the future and karated kid.

19- Marcus all jokes aside has over the last couple of years
suffered a severe loss of confidence and does tend to suffer
from panic attacks. Hopes this course will help him back out of
his shell.

20- Marcus loves everyone.

21- Marcus used to have long hair almost down to his bottom.

22- Marcus was a rocker, loves G n R.

23- Marcus has been married twice divorced once.

24- Marcus is easily led.

25- Marcus will become an internet marketer.

Hey people its been a while since my last post.

I have had quite a few people ask me exactly what I have done to get my blog looking like this.

And thankyou for all the comments I am really proud of my blog and how it looks today,I put alot of work in but also had a lot of help.

And I know a lot of you want a blog like this so I just wanna make this post for you, so you can get your blog looking how you want it.

My blog was looking like a skoda a few weeks back but now its looking like a Ferrari cool eh!!

So my friends instead of having to explain in seperate emails I have decided to reveal all in a new blog post.

THEME

The first thing I did was to get this fantastic theme CLICK HERE iThemes Home Page

You see most themes let you choose between a 0ne,two and even three column layout,but the Flexx Theme gives you way more options than that.

You can choose columns,rows,bars input widgets and panes from the options panel,and you have an option where you can choose the whole layout of your Theme and keep swopping it around.

Also included in Flexx Theme is a Menu Builder, SEO options, Fading Image Options and Contact page template

There are many options but this Theme is the MAIN reason why my blog looks so cool.

Remember I am just like you I am nothing special I never dreamt I could have my own website looking like this.

HEADER

Now I had my header custom made for me,but get this I was lucky enough to get it for FREE. Why?? because the guy was just starting out and had to build up trust so I was in the right place at the right time.

It looks great I think you would all agree.

I dont know if he is still doing graphics for free think he charges now but go

Sociable ….. Automatically add links on your posts, pages and RSS feed to your favorite social bookmarking sites.

WordPress Database Backup ….. creates backups of your WordPress database

CommentLuv ….. I love commentluv when you leave a post on someones blog it also leaves your url to your latest post for everyone to see great tool.

Popular Posts ….. Displays a list of the most popular posts.

Twitter Widget Pro ….. A widget that properly handles twitter feeds, including @username, #hashtag, and link parsing. It can even display profile images for the users. Requires PHP5.

Top Commentators Widget ….. Adds a sidebar widget to show the top commentators in your WP site. Adapted from Show Top Commentators plugin.

Blogroll Links ….. Displays blogroll links on a blog or page.

I think thats about it for the plugins but there are many plugins maybe you can suggest some for me!

Remember the flexx layout editor is awesome I have mine set out as below,but there are so many ways to have it.

By the way I could not get rid of the dam border around my image, not used paint that much.All I wanted was the image if anyone could enlighten me that would be great cheers.

As for the images im my side bar I have used text widgets this Theme is just so easy it totally transformed my blog.

Then you have my content,I cannot tell you how to do that its down to you. I am not very good at writing at all, I just try and think of something and then off I go.

My grammer,spelling and punctuation are crap but the most important thing is I am being me and I am trying to add value.

You see my friends I have done nothing special at all just picked the right tools for the job.

Hey everyone

Well my intentions are to keep writing update posts just to let you know how I am getting on and to give people a little inspiration.

My stats may not seem high to some but I am a newbie and if I can do this anyone can. I am seeing my business grow just by adding value and following a proven system

So here are my stats on my journey to an online income!

To date as of 08/08/09

I have improved the look of my blog including a new header design,and added more plugins.

I have a mini product up and running called the cavemans guide to wordpress

I have grown my list to 135 people.

According to Google Analytics since the end of May I have had 2660 visits to my blog and 6935 page views.

I have received 240 comments to my blog.

I have still got a Twitter following of 3000.

I have made more videos and posted them to Youtube one of them has over 200 views and it is only on Youtube.

People have been writing about me on their blogs.

People have come to me for help and I have helped them where I can.

I have stepped out of my comfort zone to speak with people from all over the world,up untill recently I found it hard talking to people on the phone.

Plus I have affiliate sales of $140 and I have not even began to sell yet,so the money is starting to chase me.

I am still putting to practice what I am learning,and there is a lot to learn but yeah it will happen.

Remember I say this again I have not done anything special I have just been branding myself and positioning myself,and just following the system that has been laid out for me.

People are beginning to know me,like me and trust me its great.

Yes I have also had help from people in the areas I cant yet do,but I am getting it going I can learn certain stuff later.

If you wanna succeed online just keep taking action,find out what is working for you and just keep doing it.Keep pushing forward never GIVE UP!!!!!
