Hey guys how you all doing? I really hope everyone is seeing some success in one form or another. Anyway just found this site called http://www.websiteoutlook.com which says it is the perfect place to evaluate any website and its FREE.
Check out my screenshot below:

Imagine if there is someone out there with my name that wants to buy my brand.
Ha that aint gonna happen but still its nice to know my business is worth something.
Also I was checking out my Alexa ranking and Alexa is ranking me as the 263,811 most important site in the world, and the 30,178 most important site in the uk pretty dam cool I say guys.
I think it was Gary Simpson that said if your site is ranked in the top 250,000 sites you are a major player, hey I am moving in the right direction.

I am not doing this to brag or anything, its just nice to see progress being made. I have not made much cash yet but seeing the proof that my business is growing in other areas is great.

only at 456,723.

Geez, if someone wants to hand me $6k I might
consider it. Just kidding. I’ve put way more
into it than that. But I do need to work harder
to get my rankings better.

Hey Marcus,
I’ve just checked what my site is worth – $3321.5 USD, not bad for two and a half months work eh?
I’ve managed to get my Alexa rank down to 725,388 so far, my goal is to get it to 500,000 in the next couple of weeks. I’d say I’m looking on course to do that up to now, I was on 908,199 last Thursday when I set my goal.
As for your sites worth and Alexa rank, I think you should be giving yourself a big pat on the back mate.

I’ve cracked the million mark going to 925,343 on Alexa from 1,716,429 a month or so ago…so getting there.

Hi Marcus,
Wow! Congrats on such a high Alexa ranking. That is an extraordinary achievement in such a short time.
Just a few things…
(1) Alexa is somewhat “skewed” towards Internet Marketing and SEO types as these are the ones most likely to have installed the Alexa toolbar (ie they are INTERESTED in this) so it is just a guide.
(2) As you move up the rankings (ie closer to the big 800lb Gorilla itself – Google) competition becomes far more fierce and you will feel the compression (ie the big sites flexing and pushig away the competition). Effectively, what I am saying here is that the further up the rankings you move the more sites you are kicking out to make way for you. So the owners of those sites then put in more effort to regain their “status.”
(3) Alexa rankings are watched by so many people that a high ranking is worthwhile but it is only ONE indicator of a site’s overall worth. PR (page ranking) is another as is reach etc.
JFTR my stats on Website Outlook are: “worth” (LOL) $12,942.90US but I would NEVER sell it for such a paltry amount. My time investment is worth MUCH more than that. My Alexa ranking is 206,228.
Yep, you got that comment of mine correct. I have consistently said that anyone inside the 1,000,000 of Alexa is doing well, under 750,000 is good, under 500,000 is very good and under 250,000 can be considered a major player of the “game.”
None of this, of course, is any indication of profitability. Some hideous sites make a lot of money and some wonderful looking sites make zip.
Nice post Marcus and it will be sure to bring you lots of visitors.

Alexa Rank 391,009 a drop of 100,000 in 3 months.(agree with the Master of Masters on this one

Just checked mine and my Blog is worth $14,840.90 and my Alexa ranking is 170,732….very pleasantly surprised with that, i might sell up myself and go on a nice long holiday.

Congrats my brotha – you are making some real progress. This is the first I have heard of websiteoutlook so I’m definitely going to check it out.
BTW, I love gauging the Alexa score. It’s not the most important barometer of success but I still LOVE watching that score plummet each week. Last week alone I jumped 700,000+ spots and it motivates me to keep that score going down! I’m not at the 250,000 mark yet but I’m gunning for you so watch out
Keep it up, man – I know how much work you’ve been putting in and it’s pretty cool for all of us to see you making such huge leaps so quickly. I know I enjoy checking your progress because it motivates me to keep moving forward. Take care, brotha!

I’ve not checked what I’m worth yet, but my Alexa ranking is around 625,000 – probably not very good, but I was just over 1 million about a month ago, so heading in the right direction.
But good to see the success you’re having buddy. It all makes sense, because you give great value regularly and it’s always worth the visit.

Great post, well done on the ranking.
My site is only worth $2956.5 USD.
Alexa rank of 814,972 but 3 days ago it was at 936,894 so moving in the right direction.
I only thought about Alexa rank after reading Paul Lears blog post on his goal the other day.
Wish I was coming down to London Friday but hey my invite must have got lost in the post.

I’m with you on this Alexa ranking topic. I’ve been keeping track of my ranking for the last 2 weeks and I’ve watched it drop by at least 300k. I’m no where near your ranking right now, but I’m working on it!
Alexa actually has a pretty cool tool bar you could install in your browser. It lets you see what the rank for whatever site it that you’re on. It’s a little quicker than having to go to Alexa.com!

I found you through commenting on Paul Lear’s blog. I am a student of John Thornhill’s learning all about this internet marketing stuff. It can be overwhelming and exciting at the same time especially when I feel like I am just fumbling in the dark half the time!
Re Alexa ranking mine was @19,862,460 about 3 months ago and as of today it is @724,216. So not bad for a couple of months of work. Re the website worth. For some reason it wouldn’t accept my site. Do you have to register to find out? I even tried my actual sales page website for one of my products and it wouldn’t accept that either. Hhhhmmm Food for thought. Maybe it doesn’t like me
I am really enjoying visiting other internet marketing students blogs. It is awesome that we can be such a community and learn from each other even if we are learning from different people.

Hey Marcus,
I thought I’d swing by and give you an update on how my website has done since Sept 22.
According to WebsiteOutlook my website is worth more now. It’s gone up from $6307.02 to $6905.80.
sargentmarketing.com Estimated Worth $6307.2 USD
and my Alexa ranking has gone down a little from
456,723 to 414,416.
Nothing spectacular but not bad.
